Featured Product
Thinly sliced halal dried beef
Ingredients
- 4 large halal-certified chicken fillets
- 100 g thinly sliced dried beef
- 120 g semi-hard halal-certified cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley and a few basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 150 ml halal chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- Roasted zucchini, peppers, and red onion for serving
Preparation
-
Slice the chicken fillets horizontally to open them like a book. Cover with
baking paper and gently pound them until evenly thin. Season lightly with
pepper; use salt sparingly.
-
Place dried beef, cheese, and herbs on each fillet. Roll tightly and secure
with kitchen twine or toothpicks.
-
Brown the rolls on all sides in olive oil. Add the chicken stock, cover, and
cook over low heat for 15–18 minutes, until the chicken reaches a safe internal
temperature of 74°C.
-
Remove the rolls and let them rest for 5 minutes. Reduce the cooking liquid,
then add lemon juice and parsley.
-
Slice the rolls, pour over the sauce, and serve with roasted vegetables.
Tip
Check the halal status of the cheese: potential concerns may include rennet,
enzymes, and other ingredients of animal origin.
